Callahan County is in need of a coordinator. If you can spare a couple of hours a month, please contact Carla Clifton to adopt Callahan or another orphan county in TXGenWeb.

Welcome

Callahan County was created in 1858 but, between 1858 and 1877, the county was attached to Bexar County, Travis County and Eastland County for judicial purposes. If your research takes you to Callahan County before it was organized in 1877, you should check the records in those parent counties.

If you would like to help out, we have a LOT of obituaries that need to be typed.
