WAITSCHIES,  EUGENE W

 

From Nov. 16, 1982 newspaper obit: Eugene W. Waitschies, Funeral services for Eugene W. Waitschies, 62, former resident of Victoria who died Saturday at his residence in Gulfport, Miss., after a long illness, will be held at 1;30 p.m. Thursday at Riemann's Funeral Home in Gulfport. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss. A longtime resident of Mississippi, Mr. Waitschies was born Dec. 2, 1919 in Goliad, the son of the late Henny and the late Emma Natho Waitschies. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Lunteran Church. Survivors include his wife Lucille Necaise Waitschies of Gulfport; a daughter, Joyce Hart of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Capt Gary Waitschies of Slicklerville, N. J.; a brother, Alvin Waitschies of Victoria; four sisters, Mrs. Herbert Post Sr. and Mrs. Edwin Martin, both of Victoria; Mrs. Joel Bego and Mrs. Roland Franke, both of Goliad; and----

 

WILHELM,  MRS. CECILIA 

 

Newspaper Obit: Goliad: Mrs. Cecilia Wilhelm, 82, of Goliad, died Monday evening in a Goliad nursing home. Born May 11, 1898, in Goliad County, Mrs. Wilhelm was a housewife and a member of the Lutheran church. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church in Goliad with the Rev. Clarence Hagens officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Community Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time for services. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Colonial Funeral Home chapel in Goliad. The family requests that in lieu of the usual remembrances contributions be made to a favorite charity. Surviving are Mrs. Wilhelm's husband, Edwin Wilhelm of Goliad; two daughters, Mrs. Ewald Post and Mrs. Clarence Franke, both of Goliad; a son, Allen Wilhelm of Victoria; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Stanley, Kenneth and Gary Post, Anthony Wilhelm, Darrell Franke and Lee Ray Wright.
