*Highways - County started work on Hamon Loop to connect with the Middlebuster Road - a 2-mile stretch from Lee Hinton property line through Hamon and back to the Middle Buster Highway (Road to Cuero was called Middle buster, now Cuero to Victoria. Only road in Texas that is gravel to the coast-K.S.)

*Highways - "Interesting Data on Early Road Building in this State" - Letter from Byrd Lockhart to the Governor dated 11 Sept 1830. Stephen F. Austin letter to Governor dated 20 Sept 1830. 18 March 1922
*Highways -6 miles of North link of Middlebuster road has been graveled. 22 April 1922
*Highways - To open bids for construction to DeWitt County Line July 12, north of town concrete construction now complete. Soon to have complete highway between here and Caldwell Co. line. Bids for south link of Middle Buster road, Hamon Loop, reported almost complete. 7 July 1922

*Lodges - Ku Klux Klan surprised Minister and audience of Methodist Church, Waelder. They marched up to pulpit during sermon, handed preacher an envelope and letter and left. Envelope contained 65 dollars. Letter is also printed, saying they are in favor of law and against mob rule, etc.-K.S. 25 April 1922
