*River - Movement underway to make Guadalupe River navigable; meeting held at Cuero. 11
June 1925
*River - Thighbone of Buffalo bull from F.F. Wood is set in a glass case set into the solid wall of
the powerhouse of Electric Light Plant that forms a portion of the abutment of the re-inforced
dam across the River. On this is secured the copper plate bearing the engraving stating the
historical facts. This spot also marks the crossing used by trail drivers driving cattle to the
northern market, coming out of the river on a level spot under where the marker is placed. It is
situated between the burying ground of Karankawa  (Carancewa) Indians on the south and arrow
pit on the north where these implements were made. 18 March 1925
