Leota Adams
1926 - 2010

Colorado City – Mrs. Leota Adams, age 83, of Lubbock and a former longtime Colorado City resident, died Tuesday morning in a Lubbock care center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams was born August 16, 1926 in Altus, OK to Charles and Gladys Stanford Howell. She married Coy Adams on December 27, 1946 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2005. She was a secretary for the Colorado ISD for 14 years and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Dale and wife, Kayla Adams of Lubbock and Gary and wife, Candyce Adams of Oklahoma City; a daughter Kay and husband Bobby Thompson of Snyder; four grandchildren: Logan Adams of Lubbock, Jill and husband Ryan Grinnell of Los Lunas, NM, Amanda Adams and Audrey Adams, both of Oklahoma City.
