Mr. George Rex Anderson, 75, of Colorado City died Monday, October 15,
2001 in a Big Spring Hospital. Graveside services were held Tuesday,
October 15 in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale
Funeral Home.
Mr. Anderson was born March 26, 1926 in Pea Ridge, Arkansas to Ernest
and Pearl Patterson Anderson. He had been a resident of Colorado City
for the past 28 years. He married Betty Sanders on March 6, 1959 in
Colorado City. He was a retired carpenter, Baptist and a veteran of the
U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson of Colorado City; a son,
Michael Anderson of San Angelo; a daughter, Kathleen McConnell of Big
Spring; two sisters, Fern Allman of Columbus, Indiana and Winiford
Bradford of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ernest Dale Anderson of
Colorado City and Johnny Anderson of Austin; three grandchildren,
Zackary McConnell, Hannah McConnell and Joseph McConnell of Big Spring.
