Mrs. Rena Brown, 93, of Colorado City died Tuesday, October 16, 2001 in a local care center. Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 17, 2001 in the Loraine Cemetery under the direction of Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brown was born February 16, 1908 in Nolan County, Texas to Ben and Maude Montgomery. She married Ira B Hampton in Erath County in 1932, he preceded her in death December 13, 1938. She married Ruel Brown in Colorado City on December 7, 1947, he preceded her in death on May 4, 1977.
She is survived by two sons, I.B. Hampton and Woot Hampton, both of Colorado City; one step daughter, Pat Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada and one step son, Frank Brown of Austin; one sister, Mary Frances of Del Rio; five brothers, Harold Montgomery and Walter Montgomery, both of Globe, Arizona, Billy Montgomery and Jack Montgomery, both of Spokane, Washington and Gerald Montgomery of Illinois; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
