A. J. CARROLL, FRIDAY FUNERAL

Arthur James Carroll, 61, died Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Nalley Pickle Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. James A. Puckett officiating. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Mr. Carroll was born July 8, 1910 in Austin, Texas. He went to work for the Texas & Pacific Railway in 1947 as an engineer. He came to Big Spring from Colorado City in 1941.

He married Opal Martin August 18, 1964 in Big Spring. He was a member of Baptist Temple and the Railroad United Transportation Union.

Survivors include his wife, Opal; one brother, Marion Carroll, Midland; three sisters, Mrs. Bill Harris, Sweetwater, Mrs. T. A. Tolson, Fort Worth, and Mrs. Henry Vaughn, Midland; a daughter, Mrs. Bob Grimes, Big Spring; two sons, Loy Carroll, Big Spring and Dwayne Carroll of Houston; one step-son, Don Anderson, Houston; seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Shaefer, Sammy Merrick, Danny Smart, Charles Taylor, Harvey Winn and Sammy Vaughn.
