RETIRED METHODIST MINISTER SUCCUMBS

COLORADO CITY, AUG. 8, ~~ Temple Johnson Cherry, retired Methodist minister and farmer, died at his home in Westbrook at 4:20 o'clock Monday afternoon. Funeral was to be held at the Dorn church at 2 p.m. today with the Rev. Linam Prentice, Methodist circuit preacher, officiating. Burial was to be in Dorn Cemetery with Kiker and Son Funeral Home of Colorado City in charge of arrangements.
A native of Mount Pleasant, where he spent most of his life.
Mr. Cherry is survived by his wife and by 11 children; 53 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He had lived in Westbrook for the past two years.
His sons and daughters are I. B. Cherry, Mrs. Mary King, and Hal Cherry of Mount Pleasant; Roy Cherry, Mrs. H. P. Iglehart, and Marvin Cherry of Westbrook; Mrs. Frank Steadman of California; H. Cherry of Nimrod; Temple Cherry of Hedley; Noel Cherry of Arizona and Mrs. J. L. Stenson of Colorado City.
