CROWNOVER RITES TODAY
COLORADO CITY ~ Funeral for Mrs. Ada Crownover, 86, of Loraine, was to be held
Thursday at 3 p.m. in Loraine Church of Christ.
Max Leach of Abilene and the Rev L.G. Flowers, pastor of Central Assembly of God
Church in Colorado City, were to officiate with burial in White Church Cemetery,
north of here, directed by Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crownover died Wednesday at Johnson Hospital after falling and breaking her
hip about two weeks ago.
Born June 28, 1874 in Lamar County, she married J. C. Crownover in 1900 in Cross
Plains. They came to Mitchell County about 35 years ago. Mr. Crownover preceded
his wife in death.
Surviving are on daughter, Mrs P.P. (Winnie) Hayes of Loraine; one son, A. C.
(Jack) Crownover of Colorado City; two brothers, Sam Evans of Duncan, Oklahoma,
and Bill Evans of Irving; one sister, Mrs. Alice Mitchell of Moran; eight
grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. |
