ROY DOZIER, 77 DIES IN C-CITY

COLORADO CITY ~ Former Colorado City Manager, Roy Dozier, 77, died at 11 p.m. Monday at Root Memorial Hospital. In ill health for some time, he had been hospitalized for three days.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Darris Egger, officiating.
Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery with Kiker and Son Funeral Home making arrangements.
Mr. Dozier was born in Erath County July 18, 1888 and had lived in Colorado City since he was a small boy. He was a member of the Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was a Rainbow Division veteran of World War I.
After selling his barber shop here in 1948, Mr. Dozier was city manager here for more than five years. Since then he had been associated with his wife in the Colorado Abstract Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Dozier; two step-children, Don Taylor of Houston and Mrs. Howard Cox of Colorado City; five grandchildren.
