COLORADO CITY ~~ Dwight Moody Logan, 89, retired Colorado City feed dealer,
died in Root Memorial Hospital here Friday.
He was born September 18, 1876, in Alabama, and married Delsie Morton on
June 29, 1902, in Dimmit. He was a member of First Baptist Church and
Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Logan was employed by the Texas and Pacific Railway and lived in the
Colorado City area for awhile in the early 1900’s before moving away. In
1920, he returned here, operating a feed store and hatchery for almost 30
years.
Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the
Rev. M. A. Smith, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City
Cemetery, Kiker and Son Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Jim of Corpus Christi and Vernon of Lamesa;
two daughters, Mrs. Rollis Clark of Dallas and Mrs. Curtis Erwin, Jr. of
Stanton; one brother, Frank of Big Spring; nine grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
