Robert Howard RISING STAR--Services for Robert Curtis Howard, 79, of Rising Star will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Rising Star Church of Christ under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home. Ray Green will officiate, and burial will be in Long Branch Cemetery. Mr. Howard died at 3:40 p.m. Monday at Rising Star Nursing Center. Born November 27, 1903 in Carbon, he married Lida Mae Harvey Dec. 19, 1927 in Rising Star. A retired oil field pumper, he served in the Texas National Guard. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
