Scurry County Courthouse in the 1940's. A scrap metal 
drive during World War II. Notice the dome on top of 
the court house. Clocks were supposed to be placed in 
each side of the dome but were never added. The dome 
was removed sometime in the 1950's as it leaked and 
had bats living in it.
