Ruth Boattenhamer 1905-2001 Ruth Clift Boattenhamer of San Angelo, retired Hermleigh school teacher, died Monday, July 2, in Heritage House Nursing Center in San Angelo after a sudden illness. Graveside service for Mrs. Boattenhamer, 96, was set for 4 p.m. today in the Hermleigh Cemetery. Dr. Rex Reynolds, pastor of Hermleigh First Baptist Church, was to officiate. Arrangements were under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Born May 12, 1905 in Hermleigh, she married C.L. Boattenhamer on Jan. 31, 1942 in Aledo. He died Dec. 8, 1978. Mrs. Boattenhamer taught school in the Hermleigh ISD for 35 years. A member of the Hermleigh United Methodist Church, Mrs. Boattenhamer was a lifetime resident of Hermleigh prior to moving to San Angelo almost two years ago. Survivors include three nieces and their spouses, Carolyn and Fred De La Cruz of San Angelo, Nancy and Dub Polson of Marfa, Mary Alice and Paul Peeples of Mansfield and another niece, Ruth L. Doane of Beaumont; two nephews and their spouses, Clifton and Barbara Snellings of Dallas, Doug and Alice Eubanks of Plainview and another nephew, Jerry Clift of San Angelo; and a special friend, Rick Bowen of San Marcos
