SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Dr. Pat Brecheen 1931-2000 LUBBOCK � Dr. Pat Brecheen, a former Snyder dentist, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, in Lubbock. Graveside service for Dr. Brecheen, 68, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Fairmont Cemetery in Hollis, Okla. His brother, Carl Brecheen, a Church of Christ minister from Abilene, will officiate. Born Oct. 22, 1931 in Hollis, he was a graduate of Hollis High School, Abilene Christian University and Baylor Dental School. Dr. Brecheen had a dental office in Snyder from 1957 to 1965 when he moved his practice to Tahoka. He moved to Lubbock in 1970 and retired in 1999. He was married to Mary Draper from 1953 to 1970. He married Berry Bergeron Smith in 1972. She died in 1993. Survivors also include two sons, Cole Brecheen of Portland, Ore., and John Brecheen of Abilene; three stepsons, Billy Smith of Plano, Barry Smith of Hurst and Bobby Smith of Houston; a daughter, Jodie McClintock of Plainview; a stepdaughter, Brenda Pierce of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, June Cope of Hollis; four grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.
