Funeral service for Mrs. Cole, 75, is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Tom Holcomb, minister of the East Side Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery. The Rev. John Curry, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Born April 23, 1925 in Blackwell in Nolan County, she married Roy Cole on Nov. 29, 1942 in Rotan. Mrs. Cole, a homemaker and a retired school cafeteria worker, was a member of the East Side Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Clifford, Kelly, Fred and L.D. Gaston; and by two sisters, Marie Romine and Baby Girl Gaston. Survivors include her husband, Roy T. Cole of Snyder, a son, Roy Cole of Waco; two daughters, Carolyn May of Snyder and Marjorie Woodard of Austin; a sister, Beulah Chapman of Blackwell; a brother, G. K. Gaston of Blackwell; five grandchildren, Jimmy Thomas Cole of Odessa, Amy Woodard-Menchaca and Jeremy Woodard, both of Austin, Roy David Cole and Candace Louise Cole, both of Waco; and a stepgrandson, David Bruce of Reagan, Tex. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
