SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Ruby Nations 1921-2000 ROSCOE � Ruby Ida Nations, the sister of Iona Zinke of Hermleigh, died Sunday, Oct. 22, in a Roscoe nursing center. Funeral service for Mrs. Nations, 79, is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Salem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glenn Dittmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Born April 14, 1921 in Nolan County, she attended the Brownlee school and was a graduate of Roscoe High School. She married Anton J. Watzl in 1944 in Hermleigh. He died in 1958. She married Bob Nations on Jan. 5, 1961 in Sweetwater. A lifelong resident of Nolan County, she was a homemaker and had operated Roscoe Garden Center. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Watzl, in 1991; and a brother, Troy Rannefeld, in 2000. Survivors include her husband, Bob Nations of Roscoe; a son Ricky Watzl of Sweetwater; a daughter-in-law, Becky Watzl of Midland; two other sisters, Teresa Weiss of Vera and Gladys Bownds of Thorndale; and four grandchildren.
