Officiating will be the Revs. Bobbie Woods, minister of the Church of God; Vernon Groce, Mr. Phillips� great-nephew; and Raymond Bugg, Hospice chaplain of Odessa. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. Mr. Phillips, a resident of Snyder for the past three years, died Monday, Sept. 4, at his sister�s home in Snyder following a brief battle with cancer. Born Oct. 31, 1934 in Archer City, he was an U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Phillips of Hesperia, Calif.; five daughters, Patty Wilcox of Hesperia, Susan Crosby and Rebecca Kirby, both of Snyder, and Debbie Phillips and Nancy Leffers, both of Soda Springs, Idaho; a son, William George Phillips of Santana, Calif.; three sisters, Stella Bailey and Johnnie Pyburn, both of Snyder, and Ruth Tillman of Downey, Calif.; a brother, Marvin Holmes of Edmond, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles of Snyder and Graham; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother. Family visitation will be from 7 t 8 p.m. this evening at Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
