Mr. Taylor was the father of Aaron Heath Taylor of Snyder. Military graveside service was set for 11 a.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories. Born Oct. 6, 1944 in Piqua, Ohio, Mr. Taylor served three tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Combat Air Crew Wings, Navy Achievement Medal with a �V� for Valor, Cross of Gallantry with Palm Leaf, Navy Commendation Medal, Vietnamese Medal of Honor and the Marine Expeditionary Force Medal. A song writer and musician, Mr. Taylor was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, VietNow, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Few and was co-founder of the Last Patrol. Survivors include his wife, Dixie Taylor of Hawkins; another son, Timothy Taylor Jr. of Concord, Calif.; a stepson, Tony Brinkmeier of Hawkins; two daughters, Misty Dawn Taylor and Mandy Gwen Taylor, both of San Angelo; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Floyd Taylor of Abilene; two sisters, Judy Andree and Billy Jean Meeks, both of Abilene; and three grandchildren.
