SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Grover Wall 1913-2000 Grover Lee Wall, longtime Hermleigh area farmer, died Saturday, Oct. 7, in Ware Memorial Care Center in Amarillo. Funeral service for Mr. Wall, 87, is set for 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Townsend of Hamilton and Michael Howard of Stillwater, Okla., will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pyron Cemetery. Born May 26, 1913 in Omaha, Tex., he married Maurine Farr on May 3, 1933 in Snyder. Mr. Wall was a member of the Hermleigh Masonic Lodge No. 987 and recently received his 50-year membership pin. Also, he had served as a deacon of the Central Baptist Church where he had been a member for 30 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wall; three sisters, Ozie Sumruld, Flossie Walls and an infant sister; and one granddaughter, Kathy Wall. Survivors include his wife, Maurine Wall of Hermleigh; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Marty Jones of Amarillo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Lee and Ann Wall of Midland and Wallace and Carolyn Wall of Tulsa; two sisters, Pauline Boyd of Snyder and Raye Sterling of Ira; three brothers, James Wall Jr. and Milton Wall, both of Snyder, and J.C. Wall of San Saba; six grandchildren, Ricci Olson of Houston, Lane Wall of Tomball, Angie Wall of Tulsa, Paula Bliss, Courtney Jones and Brantley Jones, all of Amarillo; and four great-grandchildren.
