Wilkinson of Snyder is set for 10 a.m. Friday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Tom Holcomb, minister of East Side Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kermit Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Mr. Wilkinson, 90, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. Born on Feb. 5, 1910 in Kaufman County, Mr. Wilkinson married Louise Mitchell on June 16, 1931 in Post. She died in 1983. Mr. Wilkinson moved to Snyder in 1952 and to Kermit in 1960. He was a truck driver in the oilfield and worked for Winkler County for a number of years. He returned to Snyder in 1994 and had also lived in the Colorado City area. Mr. Wilkinson was a member of East Side Church of Christ. He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Johnnie Lou Guynes; and two sons, Orba H. Wilkinson Jr. and Howard Ray Wilkinson. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Judy Wilkinson of Snyder and Vernon and Betty Wilkinson of Atoka, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
