Vera Youngblood 

1906-2000 

LAMESA � Vera Mixon Youngblood, a Scurry County native, died Saturday, Aug. 26, in Lamesa. 

Funeral service for Mrs. Youngblood, 94, was set for 4 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Mike Riggins and Dennis Teeters officiating. Burial was to follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 

Born June 2, 1906 in Pyron in Scurry County, she married Alton Youngblood on Dec. 12, 1926 in the Redwine Community. He died in 1983. 

Mrs. Youngblood moved to Dawson County in 1922 from Amarillo. A homemaker, she was a member of the Key Baptist Church. 

Survivors include a son, Arlan Youngblood of Lamesa; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren
