Daughter of Ruby Dell and Phillip Errol Stine and twin sister of Raymond G. Stine. Janie was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and 2nd great granddaughter of Mary Ellen Boase Scrivner who was an early settler in the Dermott, TX area. Mary Ellen Scrivner donated the land for both the Bookout Cemetery and school.
