I found the following short mention of death of Dr. A.J. Swindell, buried in Hermleigh Cemetery @ Hermleigh, in the 
Rains County Leader:
 
Dr. Swindell, for a number of years a citizen of this county, died at his home in Hermleigh, Scurry county, the 11th 
inst. With pneumonia, after about a week’s illness.  Dr. Swindell, a son-in-law of Grandma Kearby of Emory, was known 
to most of the old citizens of this county, having practiced medicine here for a number of years.
